Paranormal Activity

Magnolia Mansion is considered one of the most haunted places to stay in New Orleans.

Things happen here; things that defy conventional explanation. Doors open with no one around. Lights turned off turn back on. Locks seem to unlock themselves.

Guests have also reported seeing reflections in mirrors, sounds of children giggling when none are in the building, and cool breezes moving through rooms on calm nights.

I was excited to find a unique, historic spot to stay in New Orleans, and Magnolia Mansion exceeded my expectations. I was glad to be in a lovely, safe neighborhood just a block away from the St. Charles streetcar line and good coffeeshops. The tall ceilings, stately entrance hall and large living rooms made me feel like I was transported to another time in New Orleans history. The staff was gracious and helpful. My room also felt grand (and was very clean), and the bed was very comfortable. I especially loved my luxuriously large bathtub in the Gone with the Wind room and look forward to my return.
